SHŌ Group

SHŌ Group launched three hospitality concepts at once: a Japanese restaurant on the roof of San Francisco's Salesforce Park, a food market, and a membership club. We built the site that introduced all three, before any of them had opened their doors.

The Elemental Energy section of the SHŌ Group site: four full-width bands, Earth & Family over fireflies in a forest, Water & Flow over breaking water, Fire & Fuel over flame, and Air & Feeling over cloud

What we built

The public site for the whole group, not for any one venue. It carried the brand story, the partnership between chef Shotaro Kamio and entrepreneur Josh Sigel, an approach section built on four elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air), a team directory, a press page, and signup for SHŌ Club membership.

Selling a place nobody had been to yet

A pre-launch hospitality company has an unusual problem: no service to describe, no room to photograph, no menu to post. Everything the site can say is a promise.

It also has to say it while the details keep moving. Opening dates, venue names, and the membership offer all changed during the build, and the site had to absorb each change without a rebuild.

Our approach

We built it on WordPress with Elementor so the marketing team could restage the page themselves as the launch timeline shifted. The elemental bands and the team grid are repeatable blocks rather than one-off layouts, so adding a person or reordering a section is a content edit, not a development ticket.

What that bought them was a site a company with nothing open yet could still look credible on, and one their own team could keep current between our engagements.

How it's built.

WordPress

The platform underneath, chosen so a non-technical marketing team could keep the site current on their own.

Elementor

The page builder that made each section a reusable block, so the team could restage the page as launch plans changed.

Custom CSS

The typography, the elemental bands, and the black and lime palette, none of which came out of a theme.

Google Analytics

Traffic and campaign measurement through Site Kit, wired up before launch so the pre-opening push could be read.
